Who doesn’t love a throwback to a bygone era of romance! The 1930s – an age of glamour, style and ethereal beauty. There’s no better era for glamorous ideas for 1930s wedding inspiration.
If you had never considered this theme; take a moment to submerge yourself. This is all the inspiration and ideas you need!
There’s nothing more fabulous for me as a floral designer than luscious green foliage. Designing with an abundance of palms and textural ferns is a dream for me! In any design, flowers are important – but greenery adds textures and depth and should never be underestimated.
Warm, peachy tones – and palms, palms, palms…!
The soft peach, warm yellows and golds, and cream toned roses are a key aspect of this timeless look. The table centrepieces with more palms and elegant orchids bring the styling up to date for 2020.
The style and sass of 1930s wedding inspiration is a key feature; but it is modern and understated. Tall palm and floral columns accent the geometric backdrop – reminiscent of Art Deco shapes we all recognise.
As a venue, Alexander’s with its fabulous tiles, wooden parquet floors and palm print wallpaper is totally reminiscent of this bygone era. And what’s not to like. The ambience at Alexander’s is perfect for 1930s wedding inspiration.
For my designs I also looked at wedding bouquet designs using historical photos and this was a major inspiration for me. Read about this in my 1930s historical blog post.
