Such a joy to be part of Charlene and Lyndon’s Crab Manor country wedding near Thirsk, North Yorkshire. Charlene was such a thoughtful bride and had considered all the details for her big day.

Charlene’s brief for her and Lyndon’s Crab Manor country wedding was a lush burgundy colour scheme. This also featured rich creams and a pop of delicate pink. Charlene asked for a trailing bouquet which was enjoyable to design. It featured burgundy garden style roses with ruffles that went on for days!

The bridesmaids posies featured the same flowers as Charlene’s. The colours complimented their stylish wedding dresses.

The ceremony table flowers were also lush and pretty, with lots of soft greenery. The design was perfect for a Crab Manor country wedding as the setting is so sublime. Following the ceremony, this arrangement moved to the wedding breakfast top table. Many of you will know what I’m always keen to use floral designs more than once, where possible.

The highlight of the day was the amazing floral hoop used to display the wedding cake. I covered the hoop with burgundy ribbon to match the theme.

Charlene wanted the hoop partially showing, so the exposed areas were still attractive. I added lots of flowers around the base and trailed greenery up the sides of the hoop.

“Gillian is such an absolute gem. We first met to discuss ideas and she instantly got me and knew exactly what I wanted. She kept me updated throughout and even did my on the day styling. She has been truly amazing and I would recommend to anyone. My bridal bouquet was out of this world”

Charlene and Lyndon also asked me to style all their wedding tables. Rustic log slices with lots of jars of flowers and candles, lighting up the room once dusk fell.
