Loving sharing this amazing flower filled marquee wedding on the blog today. John and Lydia married in a marquee at Tanfield House, North Yorkshire on one of the hottest days of last summer.
It is always great to work with clients who appreciate flowers and want their day filled with blooms. This was one of those days! I was so excited about all the designs for this flower filled marquee wedding . Let me share them with you!
The pagoda on the riverbank was the setting for wedding ceremony. I created a luscious, rose filled floral arrangement for the table. Whilst Ali from Simply Foliage helped me out by creating beautiful greenery garlands. These trailed around the sides of the pagoda and softened the setting.
After the ceremony, the table flowers moved to the top table. And the garlands decorated the centre of the guest tables. I’m always keen to use your wedding flowers more than once, where possible. This concept worked a treat on this wedding.
The marquee setting on the riverbank in mature gardens was undoubtedly beautiful. But adding some styling and flowers to the marquee entrances made them so much more inviting.
Pretty crates in various sizes featured candles and jam jars of flowers. Plus smaller crates featured hydrangea laden garden style floral arrangements.
The styling continues into the house
Inside the house, which guests have access to during their day, is a beautiful staircase. Lydia, the bride, would make her grand entrance down the stairs, so making them look super special was a must.
I added lush greenery trailing all the way down the stairs. I also tucked a rose-filled floral arrangement to the corner part way up the stairs. Look at all those logs and candles adding some shimmering details at the bottom of the stairs. Guests use this area in the evening so by nightfall it looked even more magical.
The marquee interior featured something very special. It had to be for this flower filled marquee wedding. Lydia asked for hanging hoops, but to be a bit different, they were suspended vertically. And the gorgeous flowers and lush foliage feature across a section of the willow ring so some of it is exposed. These had to be my favourite designs of the event.
It’s all about the fragrance
Oh, other than the bouquets for the bride and bridesmaid. Lydia’s brief was that she wanted a bouquet with a beautiful fragrance. So stunning garden roses as well as fresh mint made a perfect combination. I loved this design.
Being part of this flower filled marquee wedding was such an honour. I demonstrated that I have the creativity to design unique floral displays to wow guests. It was great to work alongside a couple who love flowers as much as I do.
